Bad mommy

Yes, I do realize that I have not uploaded the blog in a LONNNG time, and I apologize! We have just been so busy & the only time I have to do the blog is the weekends and they have just been so full!!

Here's a recap:

Harper is so fun! I love this age. She talks very well, and you can almost always understand what she's saying. She knows when she's doing something that she's not supposed to, and gives you a look like, "But, you aren't mad, are you?"

A few weeks back, Harper & mommy went to the zoo on a nice, Sunday afternoon. We got to feed the animals. I don't kow where everyone was, but there were almost no people there, so it was like a personal trip with the animals.

The girls really had some fun times on the trampoline this fall. Harper finally understood that it was not a steady surface, and she would venture out there. She really liked it when Emma would "dance" or jump with her. Emma's the best big sister I've ever known! She enjoys her sister so much.

We are so lucky! Emma is old enough that we can entrust Harper to her occasionally to run to the gym, or to the grocery store! Such a blessing!

Halloween 2011

Emma decided she wanted to draw the face on this year! No complaints from me!! She drew a cat face on one side, and a dog face on the other! She's such a talented artist!

Harper was our Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. The first house we went to, she was scared to go up. But by the end of the night, she would've been happy just sitting in the wagon & the people just bringing candy to her! She's no dummy!

We had a beautiful Trick or Treating evening! Emma and her friend, Olivia, went around the neigborhood themselves and then I took the two of them to another neighborhood.

I had to include our silly girl! She uses her empty bowls as hats!

This past weekend, my mom & I went to Omaha with a group of women thru my bank. There were about 32 of us & we had a great time!! We had lunch at a winery (and wine tasting), a surprise visit to a toilet paper factory (It was interesting! This particular place was employed by blind people!) We spent Friday evening at the Old Market shopping. Saturday, we went to Village Pointe, which is an outdoors shopping center, then Art Shops, an art gallery, and then to a play. Sunday, we had a guided tour of Omaha by a woman who studied a lot of the mansions etc in Omaha. We even got to tour one!

This was the Joslyn castle! Boy, it was amazing.

They are still working on renevations, but here was a sample of the staircase! Oh, how the other half lives:)

Eric did great watching the girls by himself last weekend. He's the best!

Other than that, I'll give you a quick re-cap:
Emma is doing well in 6th grade. All A's & B's first quarter:)
She's still taking ballet on Thursdays and seems to enjoy it now! She's showing some more responsibility and would really like to get contacts:( UGH why can't she stay little for a bit longer?

Harper is so smart! She can count to 12 (most times skipping 5) but can point out several letters of the alphabet and most shapes. She enjoys playing with her toys & LOVES to watch tv. I have hard time denying her because she watches all educational shows.

I am going to take her to the doctor today, as I think she may have a bladder infection.

Eric-He's great, as always. He's doing really well on his weight loss for our upcoming trip to Mexico! We get to the gym 3-4 days a week and he's looking awesome! He's always busy with work, but I'm so grateful that he can usually leave his work there. Especially knowing the kind of things he sees & hears about each day.

Me- not much new! Work is the same..I'm very grateful for my friends & family.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving on Thursday. We will be going to my mom's to see the family. Then, it's up bright and early Friday to go catch the deals:) Emma's going to stay at my mom's & make cookies with her & my brother's family, on Friday. She may end up staying the weekend, depends if her dad says it's ok.

We are enjoying having Bethany here, still! She watched Harper this week one afternoon when we didn't have daycare! What a blessing she is!

Well, I promise to be better with the blog! Christmas cards will go out soon:) YA me! Eric will be writing a letter, since he's better with that type of thing!

Have a great week
